How We Make Our Shoes
Depending on the style and materials chosen, production of our shoes can take anywhere from one to five days. For more custom shoes, such as those including embroidery or patina, production times are approximately two to three weeks. All of our shoes are made in the factory below our Savile Row shop in London. We are the first new shoe making factory in London in over 150 years, and we are proud to be bringing back manufacturing to the city.

Sustainability is at the core of what we do. We keep zero stock of our products, therefore only manufacturing what meets the demand. We use high performance non toxic glues in production for shoe bonding. And our hyper-proximity model allows us to produce everything in house and minimises our carbon footprint.
Arthur Sleep’s Regenerative Manufacturing service allows our clients to submit their own fabrics or materials to be fashioned into bespoke shoes of every silhouette currently offered.
This enables our clients to extend the life of cherished items, creating a new purpose for previously loved, deeply personal or historically significant materials of nearly all types. Our past projects have included damaged ski apparel, upcycled cashmere knitwear and a saddle used by three generations of horses from the Household Cavalry Regiment. Our only limit is your imagination.

Product Information
All of our shoes are entirely customisable. You can choose the fit, embroidery, leathers, fabrics, soles, linings and bindings. Our Regenerative Manufacturing program means you can even submit a material to be turned into shoes, we have worked with everything from sails to jumpers, sleeping bags to saddles. ‘Bespoke’ is the term used to describe a unique product that is made for a specific customer, usually to fit that customer's body and or to their design specifications. As no two feet are the same, we make our shoes on the Bespoke model, ensuring the perfect fit and style for every customer.
Sizing & Fit
Our shoes fit true to size, so if you are ordering on our website choose your normal UK shoe size (or see our size conversion chart). You can also choose from standard and wide fit on the website.
Not sure standard sizes suit your feet? Get in touch with us about our ‘Bespoke by Post’ system.

Everyone has different preferences to how their shoes fit, so we understand adjustments sometimes need to be made. To discuss the fit of your shoes, email us on hello@arthursleep.com, call us on 020 8123 6619 or drop by the shop with your shoes to talk to us in person.

All of our styles are available in both mens and womens sizes and widths. Mens shoe sizing numbers are different from women’s shoe sizing numbers, and mens shoes are usually wider, so it's best to contact us if you see a style in another part of the website you would like for yourself. Orders, Shipping & Delivery

All of our shoes are sent tracked and signed for through a courier, usually DHL but sometimes DPD or UPS depending on the destination.
When your shoes are finished, we will get in touch to confirm where you would like them sent. After confirmation, we will post the shoes, and the courier will email you a tracking number for the parcel. If your shoes do not arrive as expected, please get in touch with the courier using the tracking number. Any further issues, email us at hello@arthursleep.com or call us on 020 8123 6619.
We only ship our shoes using trusted couriers with a tracked and signed for system. We primarily use DHL, but also sometimes UPS and DPD depending on the destination. Prices can be seen during the ordering process.
The standard shipping time for the UK and most of Europe is a next day delivery service. Anywhere else in the world usually takes 2-5 days.
Returns & Payment
All of our shoes are Bespoke, meaning they are individually customised in terms of fit and design for each client. Because of this, our products are non-returnable. Please see our Returns Policy and our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Payment is taken in full when you order a pair of our shoes because of the bespoke nature of our product. We can take payment on the website, over the phone, or we can send you a link to pay online. We accept all major credit cards, cash and cheques.
Once you place your order we begin making your bespoke shoes almost immediately. Because of this we are not able to change orders once they have been placed. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.

Care & Repair
As each of our pairs of shoes are different, they will all require slightly different care. General good shoe care includes:
- Gently stuffing them with paper when they are not being worn to help keep their shape
- Storing them in the shoe bags and box they arrived in
- Storing them in a cool, dry place
- Regularly clean off surface dirt using an appropriate brush and or lint roller
- Never try to dry your shoes by a fire or heater after they become wet, gently stuff them with newspaper and leave to dry naturally
We don’t recommend shoe trees as our shoes are bespoke, and standard shoe trees can damage their custom shape.
